According to the 2020 study “Population Participation in Culture and Satisfaction with Cultural Services”, one in five Lithuanians (21%) had volunteered or socially engaged in cultural activities — twice as many as in 2017 or 2014. However, compared to other European countries, Lithuania still ranks among the least active in cultural volunteering.
To change this, together with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, we launched a campaign aimed at encouraging the public to consider volunteering in the cultural sector — inspired by the real stories and experiences of other volunteers.
The campaign targeted a wide age range, emphasizing that volunteering has no age limit. Each age group was reached through tailored channels and relatable volunteer stories from people of different generations.
The project was funded by the European Social Fund under the priority “Technical assistance for information and evaluation of the operational program” and the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania.
